HomeBased Realty was founded in October 1997 and has grown to over 70 associates in Lancaster Ca. Joe Morales, founder and President created HomeBased Realty with the future in mind. Joe is a former United States Marine and was a 13 year Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Joe worked as a top producing sales agent for a National franchise in Lancaster California before he founded HomeBased Realty .

The changing times
Joe began to notice that technology was changing everything.The real estate industry is being changed by three powerful revolutions. They are the internet revolution, the information revolution and the home office revolution. Joe believes that the next generation real estate professional and the next generation buyer and seller will be very proficient with technology and the internet and will very likely have a home office.

Joe realized that real estate professionals were relying less and less on their "traditional " broker's facilities and equipment and believes that the larger brick and mortar presence of the "traditional" real estate office would some day become obsolete. With technology changing how and where we work, HomeBased Realty was created and designed with a non-traditional structure. HomeBased Realty has a much smaller brick and mortar presence (Workcenter) and focuses on a much larger virtual presence by way of the internet. Technology has allowed us to work from just about anywhere, including our homes.

Our associates are more mobile, utilizing laptop computers, cell phones, portable printers, scanners, digital cameras, the Internet, e-mail, personal data assistants (Palm Pilots) and more! Because technology and equipment is becoming more advanced and affordable every day , HomeBased Realty associates are able to capitalize on these tools to better service their clients in the most professional and efficient manner available. Our associates have the ability to be mobile and meet clients at the client's home if convenient or meet clients at our workcenters.

The Concept

HomeBased Realty allows its agents to primarily work from their fully equipped home offices. HomeBased Realty provides a workcenter . The workcenter is designed to accommodate the home office agent with the facilities and equipment to provide a neutral setting for agents to meet clients, negotiate sales and a place to utilize when in the field. The workcenter provides unassigned workstations, telephones, conference rooms, computer, fax and copy machines for the home office agents to use when not working from home. The workcenter is supported by private office space that are occupied by HomeBased Realty agents who would rather work from a private office than from their home office. The workcenter is generally much smaller in size in relation to a "traditional" real estate office with the same number of associates. This is because the majority of our sales associates work primarily from home office. The reduction in overhead is greatly reduced, the savings are passed on to our associates normally in higher commissions kept ! You'll always enjoy rich rewards, regardless of the business volume you generate. You'll be able to focus on your personal business instead of worrying about supporting a top-heavy corporate entity.
